It is the 3rd installment in the series of Guitar Hero, and serves as fourth overall. The game offers the similar gameplay to the previous titles, where the player uses the guitar to simulate the playing of base, lead, and rhythm in rock songs by hitting the scrolling notes. It includes several modes, including Co-op Career and Competitive Challenges that pits the player against each other for the best points. The game comes with an online multiplayer feature and enables the player to play more than seventy amazing songs. Career mode of the game comprises eight tiers with forty-two songs. In each tier, the player must struggle to complete a number of songs, the number of songs depend on the chosen difficulty. There are six tiers in Multiplayer mode, and the player completes the task with the same manner as the Single-player Career mode.
