Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is an Action Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by Square Enix 1st Production Department. The game is the direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII-2, and it concludes the story of Final Fantasy XIII. It employs a revamped version of the gameplay system from the previous titles, with an action-oriented battle system and the capability to modify the outfits of the player. The game takes place in the fantasy world similar to previous titles and lets the player take on the role of the protagonist, explore the world from a third-person perspective and advance through the game to complete a set of missions. The story is set five hundred years after the ending of the previous. In this title, the primary character of the first release and the main character in the second will awake from self-imposed friends and allies who have created emotional burdens. However, as the player traverses to the universe the truth behind the fate of the world, the game becomes challenging to play.
