The game uses the point-and-click interface and acts as the sequel to Shivers, released in 1995. The player can move the character across the environment from a first-person viewpoint, like the previous installment and games like Myst and The 7th Guest. The set of music videos provide the player with clues to solving the challenging puzzles. The player begins his journey by checking into a motel in the sleepy town in Arizonan. Upon getting into the motel, the player is welcomed by a slightly aggressive clerk who hands them a message about the player’s friends, who is in custody of evil and only the warrior can free them. After that, the player walks into the room and goes to bed. After sleeping, the player experience a strange dream involving a car wreck and a dead body. Now, the player is free to navigate the town form a first-person perspective. Shivers 2: Harvest of Souls is the best game as compared to other Adventure games to play.

The environment of the game is set in the fictional haunted museum, and the story focuses on the protagonist named Sir Hubert Windlenot, who was a peer of the British nobility as an archaeologist. The interest of the protagonist in controversial fringe topics including hollow earth, ancient astronauts, etc. brought him the reputation of the mad scientist. The game deals with the first-person perspective and offers a similar gameplay style to the famous video game The 7th Guest of Virgin Interactive. It features an elaborate bar at the screen’s bottom which serves as the health bar, displaying how much the life essence of the player remains or has lost. In the game, the flashback feature lets the player review the cutscenes of the game and re-read most of the text that has been discovered such as books or notebooks of victims. Shivers offers addictive gameplay, superb mechanics, and smooth controls.

The game is the 3rd installment in the series of Broken Sword, released six-year after the release of the previous title, The Smoking Mirror. It is only the game in the series moves to 3D Graphics and is only a game not to use a point-and-click interface. In the game, the player takes on the role of the protagonist named George Stobbart, who is an American patent lawyer and storyline follows the journey of the main character who flies to the Congo to write a patent for the brilliant scientist who claims to have discovered a source of unlimited energy. The game acts as the departure from the previous title, using the direct control interface. In the game, the player must guide the movements of the protagonist using the gamepad or keyboard, while Nicole Collard is also available as a playable character at certain times. During the gameplay, the player must gather objects that he can use with other collectible objects to solve the complex puzzles to progress the story.

Upon reaching, the player becomes embroiled in the disappearance of three lighthouse keepers. Accused of killing three men, the player must back and forth through time, must facing the strange but powerful entity called Malaki, whose involvement with the disappearance Parker must struggle to unearth. The game introduces the bar at the bottom of the playfield which the player uses to store items. During the gameplay, the player uses the point-and-click interface to control the character and explore the world. Most of the gameplay deals with puzzles solving elements, and there are several levels that the player needs to complete at any cost to become the master.

The game has several mini-games that the player plays during the quest to earn points. It acts as the first title to be featured a cat-and-mouse style story, a structure which would be retained for the video game Sherlock Holmes: Versus Jack the Ripper. It is an adventure game and played from a first-person viewpoint. Holmes is the main character of the player in most of the gameplay, though some sections introduce Watson as a playable character as well as Inspector Lestrade. Most of the sections in which the game is set focused on popular London landmarks, including the British Museum and National Gallery.

While exploring her father for Christmas, the player finds out an old notebook that related to her grandfather, who is a private investigator named Gustav McPherson. After finding the book, the player is surprised to learn that her grandfather has been involved with investigating the similar series of murders in old 1920s. During the gameplay, the player can alternate the storyline between two characters as they struggle to work their way to hunt down what seems to be the same serial killer over seventy years apart. The story follows the FBI special agent named Victoria McPherson who is struggling to track down and fending off the serial killer. The gameplay has moved with the murderer called the East Coast Killer, to Maine. It uses the similar storytelling device of switching back and forth between two different playable characters to its predecessor. The 2nd character in one of the victims of the killer, named Paloma Hernandez, covering the crimes of the East Coast Killer, making the game switch between survival and investigation. The player can use the point-and-click interface to control the actions and movements of the protagonist and can explore the environment to find clues and include them in his inventory to use later when needed. Still Life 2 includes prominent features such as Puzzle Solving Gameplay, Detailed Graphics, Original Soundtracks, and more.
