Children of Mana is an Action Role-playing, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Square Enix and published by Nintendo. The game is the 6th installment in the series of Mana, serving as the first title in the subseries of World of Mana. It takes place in the high fantasy-based world, and the storyline of the game revolves around one of four young characters as they battle against an invasion of monsters in order to learn about the cataclysmic event that murdered their family. Unlike the previous games, it is heavily action-oriented dungeon crawling, in which the player can advance by accomplishing procedurally generated levels. Both the side-quests and the main story needs the player to battle through dungeons and take down monsters before they return to the Mana Village. Like its predecessor, the game comes with a Co-op multiplayer component. The player explores the game from a top-down perspective and navigates the terrain to fight off hostile monsters and creatures. In the game, the player commands the main character, and each character has its unique rating from 1 to 5 in four different areas.
