The game serves as the sequel to Splatterhouse and brings enhanced visual details, mechanic, and smooth controls. It continues the story three months after the events of the first game. According to the plot, the Terror Mask appeared against after breaking the first title, and ask the protagonist to go back to him home, telling the news that Jennifer (the protagonist’s wife) doesn’t have to die. After that, the protagonist succeeds in saving his wife and the house of the protagonist sinks into the river. It offers the similar gameplay to the previous title, and the player controls the same protagonist through eight challenging stages from a side-scroll perspective. The moves and the attacks of the player remain unchanged, and the player can run, jump, punch, slide kick, jump, kick, and use several weapons his way through challenging levels to take down enemies. Each level offers a boss at the end, and the player must defeat the boss to move to the next level. With addictive gameplay, superb mechanics, and smooth controls, Splatterhouse 2 is the best game to play.
