SimCity Buildit is an addictive and quite brilliant Building and Management Simulation by Electronic Arts (EA). The game lets the players be the mayor of a city, construct various types of buildings, factories, research facilities, generate and collect resources, etc. To generate the resources, the players must build factories where they can forge Metal, plastic and other types of resources. Building parks, Apartments and a good sewerage system keeps the citizens happy, so the players will definitely have to manage their resources well and build beautiful houses and apartments for the people living in the SimCity. To supply clean water and continuous power supply, players will have to build power houses and a whole new system of water supply for each and every apartment in the city. The trade element of the game allows the player to collect resources from the factories, use them on the city and if they have extra they can sell them in markets and earn SimCity coins. Players can also visit neighboring cities, take a look at their design and buy some of the building material to use them in their own city. Good strategic and management abilities will always benefit good so the players must use their abilities to plan the city, water and power supply lines, keep the factories far from the population and must collect taxes to keep the economy in good shape. Building parks, assigning jobs to the people of the City and taking care of the law and order situations would definitely make the game more entertaining for the Mayor. CityVille was a fantastic City Building, Construction and Management Simulation by Zynga, the creator of biggest titles such as FarmVille and Draw Something. Back in the day the game allowed the players to be the owner of a whole new City and develop it from scratch by erecting buildings, developing markets, businesses and by collecting taxes, and resources, etc. The basic task of the players was to start developing the City and eventually turn it into a massive Metropolis. Visiting the neighboring Cities, trading for resources, building diplomatic ties and strengthening the economy were the most important and promising parts of the game. As the City grew, the players were rewarded with experience points along with the reputation points that they could use to buy upgrades, energy and loads of other great things. The players could also earn the CityVille currencies such as CV Cash and CV Coins and spend them to acquire some of the most special items from the in-game store. With a variety of tasks that the players could do, amazingly addictive gameplay and beautiful 3D visuals, CityVille was a fun Construction and Management Simulation to enjoy until it was closed down in late 2011 because of some undisclosed reasons. From the day on, the game is no longer available on any of the servers but a number of groups are trying to revive the game. Hopefully there will be another game someday that will offer the same fantastic things that the CityVille did.

SimCity Social was an Online Browser-based City-Building, Management and Social Networking video game released by EA (Electronic Arts). The basic purpose of the game was to build a City and interact with other online players, visit their Cities and enjoy trading, chatting and exploring. The game was released in 2012, it got to a very popular state and in 2013 the company shut down the servers without telling the reasons of the closure. The objectives of the game were quite simple. Back in the day, it allowed the players to build A City (like the one in the SimCity video game) without any specific goals, interact with other players, visit their cities and enjoy exploring the SimCity World. SimCity Social was a resource-based video game, the players were tasked to collect various types of resources such as Energy, Diamonds, Simoleons, various types of Building materials, etc. The resources then could be used to construct buildings such as Roads, Flats, Farms, business Centers, markets, Factories Parks and Attractions, Landmarks, etc. Players were able to buy various items and upgrades via visiting the in-game store and paying with real currency. With all the freedom and objective-less gameplay, beautiful 3D graphics and great mechanics, SimCity Social was a great Social Simulation to enjoy.

The game allows the players to get into the role of “El Presidente.”, Rule over the Island in the Carribean Sea in the Era of Cold War. As the primary goal of the game is to stay always in Power, the players are required to keep the population of the Island Happy. If the Populace is unhappy with the El President’s actions, they may vote somebody else instead of the player. All the non-governmental powers and Factions can unsettle the Rule of El Presidente, so the player must keep all of these factors controlled. If there are Powers that get unhappy with El President’s rule, they will form an alliance and challenge the players so the players will need to keep them happy as well. As this game is all about Democracy and Foreign relations, diplomacy and Trade, the players must be good at every said aspect or else he/she can lose the title. Customizing the Island’s Map, political and economic relations, enemy intrusions and other governmental affairs are the most critical and challenging tasks to perform. With all the addictive gameplay, constructions, management and socio-economic elements, Tropico offers various game modes such as Scenario, Custome Game, Random Map and Campaign. Furthermore, Tropico offers brilliant character customization options for the character of El Presidente and allows the players to select any of the real life figures such as Che Guevara, Augusto Pinochet, Fidel Castro, Hernando Blanco, Lou Baga and Sancho Baraega, etc. Tropico is an amazingly addictive and quite surprisingly informative simulation to enjoy.
