The game has both Single and Multiplayer modes and based on Star Wars Franchise, is the 3rd main title in the series of Star Wars: Battlefront and the reboot to the previous title. The player assumes the role of the protagonist, who is a soldier and he can explore the environment either from a third-person or a first-person perspective. The game takes place in the open environment filled with enemies and the player needs to take down them all using a variety of weapons. To manipulate the world, the player uses vehicles, including both air and land-based such as AT-STs and Speederbikes.
