It is the direct sequel to the main game The Legend of Zelda and involving the main character named Link as the protagonist, on an epic quest to rescue Princess Zelda, who has fallen under a spell. The game emphasis on RPG and side-scroll elements. However, the game was a significant departure from the previous games. It takes place in the massive world map, and the player explores it side-scroll perspective while the previous game is played from a top-down view. The side-scroll experience and gameplay system are similar to the feature of the Castlevania video game series. It incorporates a strategic combat system based on lives, magic spells, an experience point system, and interaction with NPCs. With immersive gameplay, superb mechanics, and old-school graphics, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the best game to play.
