Each completed line increases the player score, and many rows mean a high score. The game has two different sections on the right side, where one section contains the upcoming blocks, and the other section has hold blocks. If a player does not want to use a block, he can place it in the hold section to use it later.
In the hold section, the player cannot place more than one block. The time clock is running, and the player has to fill the scoring meter quickly.
