Serving as the sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, the game incorporates several elements from its predecessor. According to the storyline, the Dracula has been taken down and his evil powers assumed by his reincarnation, Soma Cruz. However, with the help of his teammates, Soma successfully avoids turning into the new dark king. So a cult forms to bring the fourth new dark lord by murdering Soma. After that, Soma and his teammates move to make sure a new dark lord isn’t created. The game features several elements from the previous titles, including the blend of elements from RPGs and platform game. However, the tactical soul system found in Aria of Sorrow and a dark atmosphere. A Magic Seal system is a new feature to this game and requires the use of DS stylus to draw a pattern to take down enemies.
