Earth Defense Force 2025 is an Action, Third-person Shooter, Single and Multiplayer video game created by Sandlot for PlayStation and Xbox. There are four character classes, and the player can select one of them to get into the game fictional world. According to the story, the world is invaded by the alien faction and the player can take on the role of the protagonist, an EDF soldier to defend the world. There are a massive variety of weapons such as Rifles, Leaser gun, Rocket Launcher, Grenades, tools and armors and uses a third-person view for exploration. It takes place in an open environment and includes a variety of levels. The player can use at least two primary weapons in each level and his main aim to protect the world from alien and earn experience points to unlock further content. Modern weapons are dropped by the alien after destroyed for players. The game becomes challenging as the player gain experience.
