It takes place in the ancient Egypt, where the player plays the Yu-Gi-Oh! alongside the characters that occur in the game. It all depends on the players’ strategy to be dominant or let the opponents beat the player. Each card of the deck represents characters or events from the Doctor Who universe. The deck of the player has specific statistics that determine its strengths and weaknesses upon which the victory depends.

The player has to choose those statistics which has higher values than their opponent’s card to be the victor of all the time. The winner of the game keeps both cards, and the play continues until the deck of one player gets empty. Adventure mode offers the player to face AI controlled opponents whereas versus mode allows two players to play a head-to-head match.
