It is the fifth title in the series of Metroid game and the first game uses 3D graphics. The game mixes the Adventure, Exploration, Combat, and Shooter elements to bring the thrilling gameplay for hardcore players. It takes place between the original games Metroid and Metroid II: Return of Samus. Like previous titles, the game features sci-fi settings, in which the player can assume the role of the protagonist named as Samus Aran, a bounty hunter. The story of the game centers on the female protagonist, as she struggle to fend off the biological experiments of the Space Pirates on the fictional planet known as Tallon IV. There are numerous levels available and each level contains several objectives to accomplish. The player manipulate the world from a first-person perspective and can interact with non-player characters to progress through the game. With enhanced mechanics, addictive gameplay, and superb controls, Metroid Prime is the best game to play and enjoy.

Throughout the game, the player assumes the role of a protagonist named Samus Aran, who has to investigate a mysterious message from the Cluster. While exploring the world, the player views the character from the first-person perspective.

The player equips a power suit that allows him to access his gunship from anywhere in the field. The player can scan any object, and the gunship will return relevant information retrieved from its database. An Arm Cannon is there on the Power Suit, which can help the player to attack enemies. To enter small tunnels, Samus can roll into a ball that decreases the size.
