Bust a Move DS is a Puzzle, Match-3, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Happy Happening and published by Taito for Nintendo DS. The game uses the slingshot system to fire bubbles, instead of using the fire mechanism used in previous entries. It brings the bubble shooting puzzles gameplay and introduces the Bob and Bub to the center of the stage as they effort to fling bubbles from the screen’s bottom to the top in attempt to match three or more same colored bubbles to pop. The game enables up to five players to compete against each other via wireless network. It has multiple levels of increasing difficulty and the player must complete each one to advance through the game. It offers easy to play, but hard to master gameplay. It serves as the title in the series of Puzzle Bobble and offers the similar gameplay to previous titles. In the game, the player controls the pointer from the bottom of the screen, take aim and shoot the bubble to other same-coloured bubbles to smash. The task of the player is to shoot bubbles at other coloured bubbles at the top of the screen and struggle to clear the field while scoring the points. When the group of three or four bubbles are connected with each other, the group vanished. During the gameplay, the player picks up different power-ups like stars regardless of colour, and flame. Each power-up has its unique abilities, and the game offers several levels that the player needs to complete at any cost. There is a story mode, in which the player visits eight lands that uncover the storyline.
