The primary environment in the game is the Vessel interior called the Main Sector, along with other areas that are comprised in sectors within the ship such as the Cryosphere, the Biosphere, and more. The main gameplay focuses on solving puzzles to unearth secrets, platform jumping, and shooting elements. The story of the game unfolds linearly, and the map highlights the next objective. The game is played from a third-person perspective and the player can run, jump, fire the arm cannon, and can turn into the morph ball to roll into the narrow passages. The game puts the player in the role of the protagonist named Po, a panda who is little bit different from the movie and possesses a basic level of martial arts skills from the starting of the game. The game two different types of challenges such as jumping and fighting and the player needs to maintain his balance such as crossing tightropes, steering a boat, staying on moving platforms, and more. During the course of the game, the player needs to enhance his skills by including new fighting techniques and special moves, although in some game’s parts, the player has to accomplish the tasks as another playable character. The game serves as the 12th marvelous title in the long-running series of Contra, and it retains the same spirit of side-scrolling gameplay as the earlier installments of the series. However, it can be played with the Wii Remote, as well as with a classic controller. In the game, up to two players can blast his way through a set of levels simultaneously. There are two different playable characters such as Bill Rizer and Genbei Yagyu. Each character has its unique weapons and attributes. The dual weapon system returns from Contra III: The Alien Wars and the normal gun of the player can be set in autofire mode once again. Several types of power-ups also appear, and the player can pick up to use and boost the power of his weaponry. The player moves across the level from a side-scroll perspective, and his ultimate objective is to take down enemies, reach the end of each stage and kill the boss to access the next level.
