In the game, the player controls the main character named Dex, an eponymous character who receives a set of challenging quests from Non-player Characters. Each quest in the game has several possible solutions and it up to the player which one of them to select. The story centres on the protagonist, a young woman, who is living in Harbor Prime, a city ruled by corporations that are associated with a secret authority called the Complex. The player becomes a target of the Complex that summons and sends it assassins to her in order to save, but she is rescued by a hacker called Raycas who assists her to safety. There are several challenging levels, and each has a set of objectives that the player needs to complete.
