Total War: Rome II is an Adventure, Strategy, Tactical, Single-player, and Multiplayer video game developed by SEGA. Like its predecessor, the player needs to focus on individual soldiers with the mission to train a massive amount of combatants at the same time. The diplomacy system has been enhanced with a new artificial intelligence letting the AI perform strange actions.
The player must not take anything seriously and should determine whether or not the enemy AI can be a trustworthy ally or a suspicious spy. The political system has been upgraded too, where all the factions of Rome have at least three political entities. After selecting the faction, the players will choose to be part of one of these entities.
The game features 117 factions where each one has a unique agenda and penalties. Eight of these factions are playable in the initial stages. The playable factions are divided into ten groups such as Hellenic, Latin, Punic, Celtic, Germanic, Desert Nomadic, Iberian, and many others.
